Why Pigeons Fight

Hi there, All Pigeon Lovers

If you have been keeping pigeons a while, you would have seen your birds fighting from time to time.

Of course it's mostly the cocks that fight, but occasionally the hens might fight as well, especially when they're on eggs or protecting their young. 

Here's a short video clip of two of my cocks that got into a fight.

The blue pied stencil cock is protecting his territory as well as the young squabs, which you unfortunately can't see in this video.  The red cock returned after a few months (I gave it to a friend) and decided to reclaim his territory.
